Jewson Family......The people behind the brand
Frugi , organic childrens clothing (2-4 years) will be available from Mulberry Tree Organic from 1st February.
The way frugi do things is really important to them. You see, they believe, like we do that you can run a successful business without compromising your ethics. And that's what Frugi's all about (as well as fab clothes, of course!)
Here are a few things frugi do that aren't just 'greenwash'.......
|
| ORGANIC COTTON All our clothes are made from certified organic cotton which is heaps better for the fields, farmers, factory workers and for your little ones. A lot of people don't really understand what organic cotton is all about, if you're one of them read for your organic wisdom . |
FAIR TRADE Our cotton comes from a certified fair trade supplier and the factory where the clothes are made is a certified fair trade factory as well, so you can rest assured that your kids clothes are made by adults on a fair salary. In fact, the factory is such a great place that it is even supporting a local tribal school. |

CHARITY SUPPORT We give 1% of our turnover to two fantastic charities through our membership of 1% for the Planet. It's a brilliant scheme and we're really proud to be a member.

| PACKAGING We send all our scrummy clothes in fully compostable packaging which has a slightly potatoey flavour - we won an award for our innovative non-GM potato-starch protective bags which are super-friendly to the environment - you can literally throw the whole lot on the compost heap and watch it wither away before your very eyes! |
We also do all the important day-to-day things like recycling and turning off our computers each evening. All in all, we're a pretty eco-bunch - Ethical Consumer Magazine has recently completed an in-depth survey of clothing companies which make green claims and of course Frugi was up there at the top of the list. Hooray!
